Utilising his expertise in the field of mechanical engineering and his passion as a designer, Jimmy Mistry brings structural soundness and creative aesthetic to all of architectural designs, with forms and styles previously unseen. His world renowned, architectural marvel, Della Tower, is striking in its originality and gave the city of Mumbai its first Persian landmark - an impressive anthropomorphic building covered with living material which evolves with time. His designs have successfully stood the test of time since they were always born from the powerful conviction that creation must invest in an environment without destabilising it, while also maintaining the greatest respect for its context. Like all of his work, Jimmy’s architectural design style is virulently and explicitly both ethical and humanist.
The idea behind constructing this tower is to display great variety, both structural and aesthetical, each developing gradually and coherently out of prior traditions and experience of ancient Iran and portraying the past glory through non-judgemental and creative vision.
This modern and luxurious residential tower is based on the ancient Achaemenian design and style. With more than 200 highly skilled artisans at work, for the first time Persian architectural elements have been used to showcase the rich Persian art and architecture through various dynastic rules.
Iranian marble, glazed mosaic, colours depicting Persian architecture, motifs and panels are used in the construction of this 21 storey residential tower. Some of the design elements used to aesthetically enhance and visually portray the Iranian culture are Apadana palace fluited (to scale)columns with twin bull's head, a lion devouring the bull signifying seasonal change - the Nowruz festival, mythological creature - the human headed winged bull at the entrance to King Cyrus's palace, wine goblet from Susa called 'the susa cup', the entrance stairs of the building replicates the eastern stairs of the Apadana at Persepolis showing procession of people bringing tribute to King Darius.
The building comes alive to display richness in colour, character and creativity, especially when viewed at night.
Nishit Mahal is an ode to Antonio Gaudi by Jimmy Mistry. The building’s design hails inspiration for Gaudi’s early works of architecture. It gives Mumbai’s architecture an uplift and projects worthy of recognition globally. This project is designed by Jimmy Mistry of Della concept stores which were displayed at Design Arena last year!

Sprawling 5,50,000 sq.ft., Sahara Ganj Shopping
Mall is spread over 4 levels. The patently prevalent use of glass as the
external facade provides 2 primary functions for the mall: First being
the visual connection to the surrounding environment, and the second for
passive heating and cooling throughout the year.
Sara Ganj is successful in providing to be a mixed-use retail and entertainment development in the rapidly re-developing city of Lucknow.

The Rustom Faramna Agiary – a recipient of the
prestigious Urban Heritage Architecture Award in the year 2003,
presented by the Indian Heritage Society is occupying a commanding
corner position in the prominent Dadar Parsi Colony. This project was of
special importance and Jimmy spared no energy to recreate the magical
experience.
Keeping its architectural structure intact, Italian marble was used for the flooring in the inner sanctum, to replace the existing one, whilst old cornices and mouldings that had broken off from the ceiling were copied and refitted. The doors and windows, originally covered with layers of oil paint - were stripped, and the original wood was touched upon, varnished and exposed with polyurethane coatings. Old partitions which were haphazardly fitted and had been causing smoke from the fire to remain trapped inside - were removed and a proper ventilation system created. The lighting was specifically designed keeping the original structure intact, a ceiling suspended diffused light fitting was designed, as well as a new lighting grid worked out.
The restoration of this 6,500 square foot fire temple was completed in a record two months, with a stunning Zen-like landscaped garden laid in the compound outside, and on the lines of the Swaminarayan temple in London. This structure thus displays authenticity, which is symbolic of the Parsee community itself.
Seeing a sharp increase in the emergence of "satellite" cities and recognizing the need to create organic environment to synthetically better suit our traditional counterparts that shape our established towns and cities, and endeavor to bring highend residential design to mass housing.
Grande Exotica - An upscale signature residential development on 6.5 acres sited in modern Indore, consisting of 8 towers, each with basement, stilt and 10 floors.
Amongst the many signature features of this project, the incorporation of Sky gardens atop every building in the residential complex plays a significant role. Green design has been implemented to ensure that there is no wastage of energy, while optimizing the use of natural resources like sunlight and solar energy, thus reducing the overall energy consumption of the complex.
* Putting landscape on terraces of all building acts as a natural insulator and reduces heat effect.

Over the years, he has designed several award-winning projects for clientele that includes some of India's front-runners in Real Estate, Media & Entertainment, Automobiles, Banking & Finance, and many more. The Project is a 17 storey Tower, Head Office of a
multinational company I was a fight in various business lines. As per
the brief all the respective group heads were allotted cabins towards
the “Green” view, and the top two floors specifically designed and
modified to accommodate the Chairman’s office. The most challenging part
of the building was designing the reception. Considering the company and
various lines of business it was a thrill for Jimmy to incorporate the
various elements making them an integral part of the design.
On entering the lobby one is welcomed by a custom designed chandeliers made out of beverage bottles (As the same is one of the business) and flanked on one side by a aircraft suspended from the ceiling and on the other side by or F1 car both again being group.
Under the leadership of Jimmy, the team achieved the individual look and feel as required, through the office by balancing the colour scheme, use of materials, detailing and common elements for functionality.
The building comes alive to display richness in colour, character and creativity, especially when viewed at night.

The duplex is a luxurious residential space that
doubles up as a business meeting facility. Intended for businessmen and
the upper strata of society, the apartments' are spread over two floors.
Eight bays of 350 sq ft each were combined to achieve this look.
The top-of-the-line finishes, plush upholstery, elegant panelling and ambient lighting all elements provide an almost pictureperfect finish.
In capital cities across the world, the biggest challenge for the hospitality industry is to cope with shrinking spaces, with this in mind, Jimmy created designs that reflect a lavish haven away from home - the fundamental idea behind five star hotels. This idea unites the duplex Suite and the 84 rooms at Sahara Hospitality, where old world luxury blends perfectly with hi-tech facilities. Other challenges included executing the plan for the corporate wing and the Chairman's Suite at the hotel.
Yacht Design on RINA Guidelines. Back in 2006, designed for Dr. Vijay Mallya, Kalizma Yacht. This beauty was re-designed to retain its Edwardian Style with addition of modern trapping of Luxury and State-of-theArt Technology.
MY Kalizma is a 165′ Edwardian motor yacht, which was named ‘Kalizma after Burton s children Kate, Liza and Maria. Jimmy studied naval architecture to give a complete makeover that involved understanding the architecture of the yacht and redesigning and re modelling the structure.

Given his experience with designing interior spaces across the board, Jimmy has always had the creative and commercial discipline it takes to combine several areas of expertise including elements of industrial design, ergonomics, and advertising, when designing retail spaces. Having done it successfully for Della by Jimmy Mistry's flagship gallery and for some of the country’s most prominent names, he takes on the challenge of designing specialised spaces that are tailored to meet their retail requirements.

spanning across 4 floors, the 50,000 sq ft Della Gallery
includes a garden lawn, swimming pool, rooftop park and
conservatory, that will provide a retail experience that will be at par
with the leading international brands. Homes, Bathrooms and Offices have
entire floors dedicated to display their respective collections along
with those of Lights, Decor, Tiles, Tableware, Furnishings and a whole
lot more.

The challenge was to extend those perceptions to every point of contact with its customers through its retail outlets, and to weave the brand through the marketing strategy, its core products, its customer service and to create a holistic brand 'Bajaj' experience for the consumer.
The Bajaj Pro-biking outlets were conceptualized using space as a medium of communicating the brand and targeted to the customers who are passionate about the 'dream machines', and for whom speed is a way of life. The retail environment designed by us has become a living manifestation of the 'Bajaj' brand strength.
He created the ambience that choreographed a deeper, more resonant experience of the brand, where the customer gets completely immersed in the dynamic displays and interactive environment of taking reality ride on the dream machines, feeling the power at its peak.
Jimmy’s team helped in taking the retail business to the next level by successfully communicating the core ideology of the 'Bajaj' brand into the perfect physical surroundings, creating enriched customer satisfaction.
